27 May 2010: On TravelPeople this week

Luck is a curious thing. We would often wish someone "good luck", but seldom stop to think what this actually means. Yes, we wish them well, but do we really believe in good or bad fortune caused by chance - the draw of the luck so to speak? People often miss out on good things because they believe that they don't have good luck. How can you attract good things if you start out being negative? Some choose to believe that there is no such thing as luck and that everything is determined by cause & effect. I believe that if you are a good person with a hard working, positive attitude, good things ("luck") will come your way. As Cliff Richard sang - "lucky lips are always kissing ..." Hey, we have so much to look forward to as a Stormers (or maybe a Bull) supporter this weekend and with the exciting weeks ahead, that this week on www.travelpeople.co.za we are all the lucky ones! Hear! Hear!

This week we bring you a brand new exciting COMPETITION You stand a chance to win two luxurious nights with breakfast for two persons at the breathtaking Sandals Guesthouse in St Francis Bay. Try your luck & enter today!

20 May 2010: TravelPeople - the best choice

Choice is a wonderful thing unless you have trouble choosing. And here I'm not talking about someone like my husband who, as a Gemini, finds it difficult to sometimes not change his mind about things, but about having so many different choices that it complicates your life. Yes, choice is liberating, but having too many choices can be confusing! Life was so much simpler in our grandparents' day when you had a choice between buying a black car (probably a Ford) or buying a white one (probably a Ford); or deciding whether you wanted just butter, just jam or both on your sandwich. If you want to see just how confusing choice can be today, all you have to do is send a five year old into a shop and tell him he can choose any one sweet he likes ... It is human nature to want it all! No wonder we feel more discontent with life than our grandparents used to feel - the more choices we have, the bigger the sacrifice if we can only have one! Or am I totally confused now? On http://www.travelpeople.co.za/ it is possible to have it all - you'll be spoilt for choice this week!

You have one more week to enter the very exciting Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch COMPETITION Don't miss out! Escape with your special person & enjoy a two night stay with breakfast!

12 May 2010: TravelPeople live consciously

Living every day being consciously grateful can make life so much more pleasant. Yes, I know it's not always possible, but it's definitely worth trying and it's a way of thinking that, maybe if practised, could become a habit. Recently reading an article about having a "gratitude attitude" got me thinking. There is more to it than simply counting your blessings - it is a mind set. Now that I think of it, it also has a nice ring to it - almost like "have a ding dong day ..." Seriously though - being grateful for, or having a heightened awareness of the small things in life will definitely increase our quality of life - or that's my theory! On http://www.travelpeople.co.za/ this week, we are eternally grateful to you - our avid supporters!

Enter the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch COMPETITION this week & you could be the lucky winner of an unforgettable two night stay for two with breakfast! You owe it to yourself to enter!

6 May 2010: New contact details and more from TravelPeople

Anyone who has moved offices will be able to relate to the frustration that often goes along with it! Yes, no matter how well planned this project is, if certain vital suppliers do not come to the party, there's not much you can do - except maybe shout & scream and jump up and down. Although you might rid yourself of all the excess frustration, you won't really achieve the desired results. Emotions experienced during a time like this can be easily compared with adolescence - mood swings, anger, frustration, temper tantrums, rebellion etc. So if you have been frustrated because you can't get hold of www.travelpeople.co.za or if you have been struggling to send us a fax, please know that we feel your pain! Please make a note that our telephone & fax number has changed to (021)910-3219 while we continue the battle with our friends at Telkom ... Now enough bad karma - let's move on to brighter & nicer things!

This week we bring you a brand new COMPETITION You could be the winner of a fabulous two night stay with breakfast at the exquisite Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch. Don't say you never win anything - you can't win it if you're not in it!
