Sometimes it strikes me just how much us human beings are creatures of habit. Have you ever found yourself ordering the same dish at the same restaurant over and over again? Physiologically our bodies get into a rhythm as far as our sleeping patterns go and most people's body clocks are totally impaired if they travel over time zones, but if we look at our daily routines & habits, it's actually quite amazing how easily we can be thrown off-track. Just take long weekends as an example - suddenly having a three day weekend totally threw me! Not to sound ungrateful, but gone was my balance and I'm still struggling to remember what day of the week it is! That's probably why they say small children feel more secure if their parents keep them to a certain routine. Or maybe I'm just getting old & I just like the predictability of it all ...
