'Procrastination' is one of the first "big" words I learnt as a child. I was taught that procrastinating was an evil, habit forming action (or non-action for that matter) and something to steer clear of at all costs. Why didn't I pay better attention? It's one of my favourite pass times! Putting things off can easily become second nature and before you know it, you turn into a constantly worried little stress ball - totally self-inflicted! It's always easy to say that you operate better when under stress, when there is a sense of urgency, but don't be fooled - it's just an excuse. It's just so easy to postpone doing the boring, mundane stuff, but it's usually those things that take up the most time. So without any further dawdling, I have decided to eliminate most of the stress in my life and stop procrastinating!
