17 March 2011: TravelPeople and simple pleasures

This long weekend I will be exercising my basic human right to eat, drink & sleep! I often realize that, to enjoy life, all you have to do is to return to the basics - the most obvious can often be the most pleasurable. With all our human complexities, we all strive towards simplifying our lives - to absorb what is really important and to let go of the rest. But as we get older, the more difficult it becomes to let go of the excess as we have already created a big chunk of our own history - and sometimes history can be a heavy excessive weight to carry. But as Balloo the bear of Jungle Book said: "Look for the bear necessities, the simple bear necessities, forget about your worries and your strife!"
