8 July 2010: TravelPeople and finding balance

In my books happiness equates to achieving balance in life. And yes, I think that you will agree that finding balance, but above all maintaining it is quite an achievement! When I was younger, I used to enjoy living life to the extremes - either going all out, or not doing it at all. Now that I'm older (and hopefully a bit wiser?), I find myself constantly striving towards finding a balance between the different parts that make us tick as human beings - the physical, physiological, emotional, mental etc. If one part is neglected, the world just doesn't feel right, but if they are all in zinc, everything works like tick, tock and the world is a happier place (especially after a rejuvenating weekend in Greyton!) Hey, no-one ever said it would be easy or uncomplicated - all we can do is just keep trying!
